With Select, the panel on the right edits X/Y, length, angle, radius, text height, layer and colour, and shows the total cut length

New objects go on the current layer; with a selection, picking a layer moves the selection there

DXF

R2000 DXF with units, layers, true arcs and closed polylines, for Fusion, VCarve, LightBurn, Inkscape

SVG

Millimetre SVG with one group per visible layer, for laser software (dimensions left out)

Open

.flatcad files; DXF (lines, polylines with arcs, circles, arcs, ellipses, splines, text, blocks) and SVG (paths, shapes, text, Inkscape layers) are imported into the drawing. Or drop the file on the canvas.

PDF

Fit to page, or a true scale (1:1, 1:50 …) tiled across pages with a 50 mm check bar

Theme

Classic, Neon, Signal, Blueprint, Terminal, Light or Blossom, from the menu at the top. Only the screen changes: exports and prints are identical in every theme.

FlatCad is made by one person, and I read every message. Found a bug, have an idea, or just want to say what you're making with it? I'd love to hear from you.

If a DXF or SVG won't open properly, attach the file. That's the quickest way to get it fixed.

Layers

Laser and CNC software reads these by name and colour: keep cuts, engraves and scores on their own layers. The tick hides a layer on screen; hidden layers still export, switched off.

Array

Print / PDF

In the print dialog choose Save as PDF for a PDF. For true-scale prints set the printer to 100% / actual size and check the 50 mm bar on each page.

FlatCad needs WebGL

Your browser has WebGL turned off or unavailable, so the drawing canvas cannot start. Try a current version of Chrome, Firefox, Edge or Safari, or enable hardware acceleration in the browser settings and reload.
